The first steps in building your personal brand strategy is to set your objectives. But first, what is a personal brand? And more importantly, what makes a good one? This module will take you through this as well as all-important goal setting for your personal brand.

 

The media ecosystem

The first step to being successful in the media is understanding it - the components of it (earned, owned, paid & fake) and what the traditional and modern media landscape looks like today. Yes, it’s changed enormously over the last two decades! But what does that mean for you?

Audit your assets & carve your path

Before identifying the core components of your personal brand, it’s critical to audit your own assets. What do you bring to the table? Your personal brand is a combination of your skills, your passions, your values and more - then you can start to build your vision, mission and brand message.

 

What the media wants (and what it doesn’t want)

Knowing what the media wants - and doesn’t want - is critical to getting cut through, whether you are taking a DIY approach or not. Make yourself valuable to the media and they’ll keep coming back for more - but it means understanding their requirements first.

Building a cut through brand

We’ve broken this section into two separate, juicy modules - firstly we’ll help you identify your unique brand archetype, then we’ll take you through uncovering your point of difference or USP (unique selling point). How does your brand stand out from the crowd?
